Surrendering begins to lift the veil that has been established over time between you and your creator (being God or any other Devine entity). It is one thing surrendering to ourselves, to continue surrendering is the challenge for human nature.
If we look at the beginning of time, there wasn’t the need to surrender. There existed an innate understanding, a knowing on this earth, but now there is distance. We are further away from our creator than ever before, and Humans have created this distance by choice. This is a result of the misgivings of humans, and the multiple manipulations of the Devine Truth. This is not necessarily your own truth.
What does it feel like when you begin to surrender?
In the beginning, surrendering will be effortless and natural. You will surrender often, you will feel joy and peace within. With self-reflection, surrendering also begins to open up old wounds and fears. You may feel on edge, almost like a spiritual detox. The longer you stay in the fear, the longer it will take to surrender.
If this is the case, why would we even want to surrender?
Those old wounds serve as a reminder of our journey to this moment, that is all. Too many people decide to return to the emotional pain of old wounds as it is familiar. Remaining in the pain of that wound, would be like a reoccurring hangover.
We have forgotten that during this time of surrendering, the awareness of the wound is always a timely gift, and that is all.
Surrendering reunites us with a time and place within us. Not just a reason to release the burdens we carry, but to ultimately purify us. It is the reestablishment of the pure light that reconnects us with the Devine.
