Have you ever wondered what the words ‘Divine Feminine’ actually mean? The word ‘Devine’ relates to a connection with God and ‘Feminine’ encompasses the traditional qualities associated with being female. So in present day society, are ‘Devine Feminine’ just two outdated words banded together through historical tales? Do they really mean anything at all?
So if we look at the ‘Devine feminine’ words as a whole, it is the embodiment of our thoughts and our actions as a woman in everyday life. When you walk outside of your home and go about your day to day business, do you bear witness to the Devine Feminine in action through other females? In most cases, you may not. You may feel that it only exists in some females and perhaps never considered that it exists within all females. It is how we carry ourselves every day. It is how we present ourselves to the world. As females, every action, with every breath, we are an expression of the feminine whether we are aware of it or not.
Sadly to a silent few, the Devine Feminine does not present itself as being Devine. It does not always reach our places of work where some spend most of our days. Unfortunately, there are woman out there in the world who decide to be less than feminine in their approach to others, especially towards other woman. There are increasing numbers of females especially in the workplace, who feel they need to take a more aggressive and at times masculine approach to get the job done. In some cases women can also be demeaning to men, with a tendency to treat them like children instead of men. For some reason, a few men will allow this to occur, shrug it off, and continue on without even blinking. The cycle continues as complacency sets in and it becomes a type of behaviour that is acceptable and common place, especially within the workplace. Woman will silently and subtly persecute other woman if they feel threatened in any way. Their own fears and insecurities are displayed in a very negative way through ego power plays. Some woman are unaware that they are even doing this, their excuse is “this is how they have always been”.
This behaviour can also occur outside the workplace and within our close community. A woman can cast out another woman all because she may not go to work, or perhaps has chosen to stay home to raise a family and has the means to do so. Whatever the choices made, females will often find fault in other woman no matter what. Their aggressive mannerisms towards others is not the ‘Devine Feminine’ in action. This behaviour is a silent killer of the Devine feminine in other woman. Their hurtful words and actions dimming the Devine light that patiently waits to finally shine.
Have women taken a wrong turn?
We could take a look at our history. Perhaps even look at the suffragette movement, the unlocking of woman’s equal place alongside the men of this world. We cannot blame the masculine energy for all our undoing, as females we may have possibly done this to ourselves unknowingly over time through circumstances. Females have long strived for equality in the world that is constantly in energetic change. Perhaps that desired equality was already there. Our vision is obscured by our experiences over time. Woman have slowly renounced their femininity over the generations to embrace a more masculine style of communicating with others to get on in the world. This does not work for females, this does not work on the masculine either. It appears that over time, the pendulum of equality has shifted.
Today’s lifestyle and circumstances places huge demands on us all. We at times feel we need to be all things to everyone, this does not give some of us the right to belittle others for the choices they have made. This behaviour can often start as earlier as conception. We discover that as soon as we are born a woman, we learn how to survive very quickly through the actions and the voice of other woman in how we relate to others and ourselves.
For women, they will begin to acknowledge the Devine feminine through an awakening, and its silent voice will be heard once more. With this awakening within we will discover the energetic power it holds, we will then understand it is far greater than donning a masculine robe in order to survive everyday life. Only then will we look back on the path we have walked so far, make the changes we need within ourselves and carry ourselves with feminine grace, having the courage to walk the path we have chosen with our head held high. To be a sister to our many sisters who walk their chosen path. Not to be the persecutor as that is a vulnerability that only she carries.
Does the Devine feminine have a place in the working environment?
Yes it does. The Devine feminine is the balance. It is the clear thought pattern, it is the strength of inner calmness. It is even more powerful when all the woman in a workplace are somehow connected by an invisible thread of the Devine working together in harmony.
When woman finally stop energetically battling with each other on all levels through jealousy or fear, only then will the Devine Feminine shine brightly through illusion, find its place equally alongside the Devine masculine with neither lesser than the other.
So no matter what choices you have made in life, take responsibility for them. Do not blame other woman for their choices, and compare them to your own as failings. Do not judge another woman for what she looks like and or belittle them through others. Make room for the light of the Devine feminine within you to shine as it should. Universal energy will flow freely through both Devine Feminine and Masculine in an ever changing world, when we finally remember our connection to the Devine.
